I agree with all you've just said... I used to sculpt to express an idea I had that everything had to be in balance inside of me.
Fortunately some people liked the outward expression of my idea and bought my work. Then something happened and I stopped expressing this idea and my whole external world changed.
Whatever it was is now back and being re-expressed in a different medium ... so YES art is - for me and it must become for others - an expression of everyday human activity.
